چکیده
Abstract A new low-energy and eco-friendly method for extracting lead from waste PbO-containing funnel glass is required. Conventional methods use either energy intensive smelting reduction at temperatures higher than 1273 K or involve phase separation of the glass, requiring an acid treatment to extract elemental Pb partitioned in one decomposed phases as 2+ ion. In this study, mechanism a unique phenomenon investigated, involving spontaneous precipitation metallic when subjected hydrothermal water environment stainless-steel container. The roles container materials on were investigated. synthesized was placed made stainless steel pure iron set sealed autoclave with water, which held 613 provide conditions. As result, droplets precipitated surface container, whereas oxide (Fe 3 O 4 ) detected Conversely, no observed heated dry air. above results indicate that necessary because subcritical steam leaches glass. addition, redox reaction suggested between ions transported explain precipitation.

Preparation of lead oxide nanoparticles from cathode-ray tube funnel glass by self-propagating method.
This paper presents a novel process of extracting lead oxide nanoparticles from cathode-ray tube (CRT) funnel glass using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) method. The impacts of added amount of funnel glass on the extraction ratio of lead, the lead extraction velocity and the micromorphology, as well as particle size of extracted nanoparticles were investigated. We found that s...
متن کاملDetermination of Lead and Cadmium in Various Food Samples by Solid Phase Extraction Using a Novel Amino-Vinyl Functionalized Iron Oxide Magnetic Nanoparticles
A facile method for synthesis of amino functionalized silica coated Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles is introduced. For this purpose, the surface of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) was modified with two precursors of silica which produced amine and vinyl functional groups on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles. The modified magnetic nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron micr...
متن کاملThermogravimetric Investigation of the Lead Volatilization from Waste Cathode-Ray Tube Glass
The treatment of lead-containing cathode-ray tube (CRT) glass is an important environmental issue. One approach is the removal of lead by chloride volatilization. In the present work, the reaction of CRT glass with PVC as the chlorinating agent and Ca(OH)2 as the chlorine absorber was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) in air. Seven reaction steps occurring at different temperatur...
